Welcome new Specialist: Shari B. Robertson, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, F-ASHA
Shari Robertson is a Professor Emerita and retired Associate Provost at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Robertson’s teaching and research has focused on language and literacy development and disorders in pediatric populations. Prior to obtaining her PhD in Child Language Disorders at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Robertson spent nearly 20 years as a schools-based SLP where she developed, delivered, and supervised language-enrichment programs that were implemented district-wide.
Robertson has published numerous articles, book chapters, and clinical materials and has presented hundreds of invited workshops and seminars related to pediatric oral and written language, including a number of prestigious key-note presentations in Brazil, Taiwan, China, and South Africa. Robertson is currently the CEO of Dynamic Resources which publishes materials targeting intervention and assessment of child language delays and disorders. Robertson created the evidenced-based Read with Me program that uses interactive reading strategies to build language and early literacy skills and has authored numerous children’s books that incorporate these techniques. Robertson has been the recipient of the Editor’s Award for Language for the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research and the Annie Glenn Award for Leadership in Language and Literacy.
