Welcome new Specialist: Judy Rudebusch Rich, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL
Judy Rich is Professor of Practice at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Department/School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. She teaches the graduate courses in Assessment and Intervention for Language Disorders in Children and Adolescents and Language Disorders and Reading Disabilities. Dr. Rich worked in public school systems in Texas for over three decades. She has a keen interest in the language foundations for literacy and supporting children with pre-literacy, early literacy, and literacy acquisition in preschool and early elementary years; along with the language underpinnings for advanced reading comprehension and reading fluency. She is Director of a partnership program between UT-Dallas and the Dallas Independent School District for training graduate students in an urban public school setting, working with pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students in a Response to Intervention (RTI) approach to develop language and early literacy skills needed for school readiness and school success.
