Maureen Staskowski, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, ASHA-F
Maureen Staskowski, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is a language and literacy consultant and ASHA Fellow. For more than 30 years she has helped school districts improve programming and systems to improve student outcomes in language and literacy. She has developed professional networks to advance professional knowledge with high incidence disabilities with the Macomb Dyslexia Network and low incidence disabilities and those using augmentative communication such as the Macomb Low Incidence Literacy Network as well as AAC initiatives such as a large scale core vocabulary initiative. Her research interests include Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for language helping speech-language pathologists and educators improve oral language outcomes for all students. She holds a doctorate in reading and language arts with a minor in learning disabilities. She has served on several national and state committees related to speech, language, reading, and writing and has presented and published on these topics.
