Lorna Schwartz, EdD, CCC-A/SLP, BCS-CL

Dr. Schwartz received her doctorate, with distinction, from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Her dissertation was entitled: Factors Influencing School-Based Speech and Language Pathologists in the Selection of Communication Assessments for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Why We Do What We Do. She received her Master of Arts in Audiology along with a Master equivalency in Speech Pathology from Temple University. She also received her Bachelor of Arts from Temple University. Dr. Schwartz maintains Certificates of Clinical Competence in both Audiology and Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and completed the Professional Development Program in Autism from Pennsylvania State University. A personal interest in the area of autism has propelled Dr. Schwartz to dedicate her interests to the diagnosis, implementation, and coordination of communication services within the population of students diagnosed with ASD. Dr. Schwartz is employed as a speech-language pathologist by the School District of Philadelphia and is a lead therapist in the North/Central region of the city. She also serves as the ASHA CE Administrator for the School District of Philadelphia.
