Laurie Cicio (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist and a Board Certified Specialist in Child Language. Currently working in a public elementary school in New Jersey, Laurie feels passionate about improving speech, language, and literacy skills in children. She is trained in P.R.O.M.P.T. and Orofacial Myology. Laurie graduated with a BS in Human Resources from the University of Delaware and earned her MS in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University. Her early career was spent working in a hospital setting with adult head injury, stroke, and trach and ventilator dependent patients. She has practiced in hospitals in New York, New Jersey, and the United Kingdom.

For the last 15 years, her area of special interest has been working with elementary age children with developmental language disorder, dyslexia, social communication disorder, and speech sound disorders. She speaks professionally to preschool and kindergarten teachers and district reading specialists regarding the importance of building phonemic and phonological awareness skills to improve literacy. Above all, Laurie feels honored to work with her students, parents, and teachers.
