Dr. Deborah Ross-Swain, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is the founder, Clinical Director, and CEO of The Swain Center for Listening, Communicating and Learning. She serves on the ASHA Board of Directors as VP of Government Affairs and Public Policy and is former Chair of the Government Affairs and Public Policy Board. She is past-President of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Swain is an ASHA, National Academies of Practice and CSHA Fellow and has received numerous awards for leadership, clinical service, advocacy, service to professional associations, and professional contributions. She is the author of numerous standardized tests, treatment manuals, and books.
