Carolyn Ford, EdD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL
Dr. Carolyn Ford is the Graduate Program Director for the Speech-Language Program at the University of South Florida (USF). She received her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) from the University of Alabama and her Educational Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a cognate in Program Development from USF. She is a member of the inaugural cohort of the ABCLLD Specialists. She has taught courses, supervised, and developed programs in the areas of Child Language, Literacy, and Assessment at USF since 1992. She has experience across multiple settings including owning a Private Practice, directing an Easter Seals, Speech-Language Hearing Clinic, working and supervising in the Public Schools, and teaching at the University. Her passion is helping graduate students gain knowledge and skills in both assessment and treatment of children who are at-risk or have language or literacy disorders by critically evaluating the research evidence and using that evidence to support their assessment and treatment decisions. She provides language and literacy workshops to SLPs and teachers in Florida and nationally.
