Bonnie Singer, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL

Bonnie Singer, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, has been dedicated to clinical service, teaching, research, publishing, and professional education for over 35 years. She has a primary interest in how language and executive functions support and constrain academic performance. For 30 years, she was the CEO of Architects For Learning, where she led an interdisciplinary staff serving K-college students. She also founded Vivido, where she trained SLPs and educators world-wide in language, literacy, and learning. Dr. Singer currently serves as Head of Writing Science & Instruction at Wilson Language Training.

Dr. Singer co-authored several proven methods of literacy instruction, including EmPOWER, Brain Frames, Unlocking Sentences, and ASSERT. With her long-time research partner, Dr. Anthony Bashir, she developed the Qualitative Writing Inventory and Me & My Writing/My Students’ Writing assessment scales. Her research and numerous publications focus on the relationship between spoken and written language, spatial processing, executive functions, cognition, and self-regulated learning.

In 2023, Dr. Singer received ASHA’s Certification of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in Clinical Achievement.
