Kerry Ebert, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL
Kerry Danahy Ebert, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL, is a researcher, teacher, and clinician in the area of children's speech-language disorders within a linguistically diverse society. She completed a B.S. from Stanford University as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, and began clinical practice as a speech-language pathologist in 2004. Dr. Ebert was previously Associate Professor and SLP Program Director at Rush University. She joined the faculty of the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at UMN in 2019. Her research focuses on the cognitive-linguistic profiles of bilingual and monolingual children with developmental language disorder and implications for effective assessment and treatment services. In 2021 she was awarded a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health to study less-biased assessment approaches for developmental language disorder across bilingual and monolingual children, and she received a second NIH grant in 2023. Dr. Ebert is also an Editor of the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, and previously served as an editor of Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools from 2017 to 2019.
