As the Graduate Program Director for both the residential and online Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Programs at the University of South Florida (USF), Dr. Ford teaches courses and supervise in the areas of child language and literacy. She has over 40 years of experience across multiple settings including owning a Private Practice, directing an Easter Seals, Speech-Language Hearing Clinic, working and supervising in the Public Schools, and at the University. She maintains strong interprofessional collaborations with the Department of Education, the Suncoast Consortium of SLP Coordinators, local school districts, and with her University colleagues. She has provided numerous inservice training nationally and in Florida on the Roles and SLPs in the Assessment and Treatment of Dyslexia, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Responsiveness to Intervention, the B.E.S.T. Standards, Language and Literacy Assessment and Intervention, Data Collection Procedures and Progress Monitoring, and SLP Leadership Skills to help SLPs in the schools connect theory to practice.
